Diets for Hemorrhoid Relief
How Fiber Relieves Hemorrhoids:
Fiber relieves hemorrhoids, constipation, diverticulitis, colon polyps, colon cancer, and even high cholesterol.
How does fiber help relieve hemorrhoids? Fiber does this by keeping bowel movements soft and will also relieve
pressure on the inside the colon acting as a scrubbing system on your digestive tract. Because fiber is not broken
down by the gastrointestinal system, as it passes through the digestive tract it gets rid of any accumulations
making your whole body work more effectively and become pain free. This helps with preventing hemorrhoids as well
as treating hemorrhoids naturally.
On average, Americans eat about 5 to 20 grams of fiber daily. The American Dietetic Association
recommends 20 to 35 grams of fiber each day. Over 35 grams of fiber a day may cause excess bowel gas, and therefore
some discomfort. The chart below shows the amount of fiber in some foods that you can easily be added to your
diet.
Where do I find fiber? Fiber comes in the form of fresh fruits, vegetables,
beans, and whole grains and ground seeds. Most fruits, vegetables and nuts have 2 to 3 grams fiber per serving. If
you are introducing these foods into your diet to help with hemorrhoid relief, remember to do so one at a time,
with at least a few days in between each new food or enjoy all of the bloating, gas, nausea, and general misery
that you will possibly experience with any rapid change in the balance of your body.
What foods don’t have fiber? Meat products, Chocolate, Dairy products, oils,
eggs, salad dressings, Desserts and Frozen meals have no fiber.
Remember that this is a permanent lifestyle change in order to help get rid of hemorrhoids forever;
this is not a temporary diet and could possibly make your life mildly miserable. But this will lead to better
overall health and start a lifestyle change that will enhance your whole being.
