Anal Fissures
Anal Fissures - Hemorrhoids Are Often Confused With Anal Fissures
The first thing people think when they see blood after they wipe or have painful bowel movements is
that they have hemorrhoids when really it can be a small tears called anal fissures.
Anal fissures often caused by constipation, stools that are dry, and making the anus open more or
further than normal thus resulting in tearing an anal fissure. This will result in sharp, possibly stabbing and
even excruciating pain. This pain will increase with each bowl movement, unlike hemorrhoids that will cause
bleeding but no pain.
